Nicholas Monsour is a filmmaker, artist, video editor and designer born and raised in Los Angeles. He studied set design at Otis Art School in Los Angeles, contemporary art theory and practice at Santa Monica City College, and has a BFA in performance and film from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has created performances, videos, music and art pieces which have been exhibited in multiple cities in the United States and abroad.

He has made theater and performance work as co-founder of Weather Talking Theater Company, founder of the Center for Decorporative Research, and collaborator with the Curious Theater Branch, the Neo-Futurists and Brian Torrey Scott. He has worked on many commercial and student films, been an editor and videographer on numerous documentary projects, and was the First Assistant Director on Marianna Palka’s Good Dick — an official narrative selection at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.  His first feature film, Oh My Soul was an official selection at the 2009 Rotterdam International Film Festival.
